Washington Monument...

...well, sort of. We went to the George Washington Birthplace National Monument yesterday and were greeted by D.C.'s younger brother...



There were a few interesting historical things there, the foundation of the house in which Washington was born (unfortunately, it burned down a few years later), a reproduction of a plantation house of the period, and quite a few animals. They weren't very active, probably had to do with the below 40-degree weather...






That's pretty much it for now. In the near future, I'll post the "excuse" why I've missed the promised weekly updates.
